We are honoured to announce that we are participating in the “Make Your Own Exhibition” project at Kunsthalle Zürich! A few months ago, Kunsthalle announced a call for exhibition ideas taking place on the 3rd floor of the gallery. Anyone could participate as an artist or curator, showcasing how their work could be displayed in the exhibition space. Since we’ve been working on a new project of our own for quite some time, we figured the timing was right to submit it as our proposal!
We have been curating an archive of high-end wearables, books and objects that fall under one common category each time, called the “Edition“. We’ll be starting with the “Inflatable Edition”, focusing on the grotesque body and the theory of the body that exceeds its limits and distorts itself. The wearable pieces of our first Edition are a selection of Comme des Garçons, Yohji Yamamoto, Issey Miyake, Rick Owens, Martin Margiela, Alexander McQueen, Prada and many more. What they have in common is that they are oversized, padded, puffer pieces that add extra volume to the already existing body. All of them are second hand or vintage, supporting sustainable and slow fashion, while personal value is being added to them by carrying on their owners’ traces of usage.
We are not launching an online store, our Editions create installations that approach space, spectators and spectacle as one single choreography ready to be witnessed. Our Inflatable Edition will soon be complete and ready to be exhibited in Zürich. All items will be displayed in our Galerie!
We would like to take this chance to sincerely thank Mr Daniel Baumann, Director, and Ms Seline Fülscher, Art Curator of Kunsthalle for this amazing opportunity as well as to congratulate all participants for this fantastic event!
Make sure to subscribe to our newsletter and be the first to discover our new projects and be informed about our archive! We would be honoured if you follow our work and visit our exhibitions!
The “Make your own exhibition” will be open from 11.00-18.00 Tuesday-Sunday until the end of August!
